Anna Wintour, Artistic Director, Condé Nast

Your move Carine

In a move that was unexpected by most Anna Wintour was yesterday named artistic director of Condé Nast, a position to be held in tandem with her current editor-in-chief position at Vogue, and her editorial director position at Teen Vogue. The promotion will see Wintour's domain expand from two publications to 18, which include The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Glamour and GQ among others.

"I would go to great distances to avoid losing Anna, particularly in the prime of her career" said chief executive of Condé Nast, Charles H Townsend.

The position comes after a 25 year tenure at the top of the Vogue masthead.
